POINT PLEASANT BEACH – A representative with Guinness Book of World Records has certified a Point Pleasant Beach creation as the tallest sand castle in the world.
The structure measured higher than 38 feet, just a few inches taller than the last record set.
The castle helped draw crowds to the beach post-Sandy and helped raise about $50,000 for the Hometown Heroes relief organization based in Toms River.
